IPFN joins Linked In
19 Aug 2010
The Irish Phytochemical Food Network has recently created a Linked-In group.
Linked-In is a professional oriented networking site with over 75 million users world wide. Linked-In is allows registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business (Connections).
This list of connections can be used in similar ways as other exisiting and very popular social networks such as Facebook.
The searchable LinkedIn Groups, feature allows users to establish new business relationships by joining alumni, industry, or professional and other relevant groups. LinkedIn groups can be created in any subjects and by any member of LinkedIn.
Linked-In is a perfect tool for disseminating the IPFN activities and to support the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and opportunities with a broader network of professionals in more efficient way.
The Linked-In Network as the IPFN's mailing list, is an inclusive (not exclusive) network, that will welcome the membership of professionals from other areas, regions or countries that interested in the evolution of the Network activities.
The IPFN news will be also posted regularly on the Linked-In IPFN group. In addition, forums and discussions can be done in particular subjects (a feature that is not available in IPFN website).
However the activity of the IPFN mailing list will remain as usual.
